The Basics
Supply Lines and Drain Lines Are Two Different Systems
Confusing the two systems is common, and it matters, because they fail differently and are fixed differently. The water line is pressurized: it delivers clean water from the county main to your fixtures, and a leak in it sprays or seeps constantly, day and night, whether you use water or not.
Drains and the sewer lateral work by gravity and only carry water when something empties. A drain problem shows up when fixtures run; a water line problem can waste water while the house sleeps — or sits empty for a month, as many Point houses do.
Drain and sewer linesoutThe signs in this page belong to the supply side: pressure loss at every tap, a meter that moves with the house closed down, a permanently soft strip of yard over the line's path.sewer line repairdrain cleaning
If your symptoms instead involve slow drains or backups, you are on the wrong page — the drain and sewer services cover those, and describing the pattern on the call to (855) 913-0016 will route you correctly.
The two systems also age on different clocks. Drains fail by accumulation and damage; water lines fail by corrosion and pressure, often with no change in how the house behaves until the decline is well advanced. That is why the water line rewards instrumentation — a pressure gauge reading and a meter test at rest tell more truth about a supply line in five minutes than five years of shower impressions.
